Rooted in curiosity, driven by enterprise reliability.
I am a self-taught engineer raised by Mexican immigrant parents who instilled in me an unwavering work ethic and an appetite for figuring out how things work from first principles. What began as taking apart family computers and writing novice scripts evolved into a career in enterprise infrastructure. Today I'm a Systems Engineer focused on network infrastructure at Boehringer Ingelheim, where I've worked on the enterprise and Operational Technology (OT) networks since 2019.
My focus is the infrastructure that manufacturing and research sites run on: wireless design and validation, switching and routing, high-availability topologies, firewall policies, and the site projects that bring a network online or retire it. That work taught me to look for single points of failure first, and I bring the same habit to the cloud, where I build and run serverless systems on AWS with Terraform and automated pipelines.
Outside work, I learn by building: a local AI coding server whose agent writes a Screeps bot, open-source Obsidian plugins, and an FPV drone I keep crashing and rebuilding.
When I step away from terminals: You'll find me heading out to the lake to hike, flying drones, capturing aerial shots, and resetting in nature.
